Description
From July 6 to 12, 2026, at the Espace Carnot in Châtelaillon-Plage, "Sylvette et ses amis" brings together Caroline Minassian, Léa, Michel Bougas and Sylvette Lengaigne around painting, drawing and ceramics.
Caroline, Léa, Michel and Sylvette embark on a new adventure at Chatelaillon- Plage's Espace Carnot.
From July 6 to 12, they'll take you on a journey through their artistic creations. Each of them will surprise you with their own personal universe.
The artists will be present during the week-long exhibition, and will be delighted to discuss their work with you.
MINASSIAN Caroline
Sculptor, singular ceramist.
Caroline MINASSIAN is all about color, but it takes the hands of a fairy to tame ceramics before juggling with blues, ochres, grays, yellows, reds...
The ceramist takes small steps, kneading the clay, sketching out rounded, dented shapes. Women's faces appear, opening up to life between astonishment and incredulity; mermaids from the depths of unknown seas .... a few animals pretending to be lost.
Then comes the sacred moment of the final touch, the ultimate firing at 1000 degrees.
Finally, the work accomplished, the light ......
Gérald Chatelain.
SYLVETTE LENGAIGNE
My painting is the reflection of my emotions and desires of the moment. I've been living in Chatelaillon for several years now, and the Charente seaside and ocean inspire me, but not only that. The model is just a pretext for letting the brush and colors bring a touch of the imaginary to my creations. I feel free to bypass reality!

Above all, it's the line that fascinates me. Learning to look at what's around me, discovering form, contour, volume, perspective, texture and modelling.
Drawing attention to ordinary things that you wouldn't notice at first glance, that are part of everyday life but also of my childhood memories, or even clothing, are subjects I like to explore. It's through these objects or bodily imprints, which carry or retain a trace of life or evoke absence, that I capture these fleeting moments of emotion.
From all these ordinary things, I try to make a representation that reveals the intimacy of the human being, which I tend to express with modesty, poetry and humor. I also like to draw the viewer into an unusual and sometimes offbeat universe.

A painter for over twenty-five years, my work is guided by emotion and the freedom of gesture.
Trained at the École de la Vigne in Étampes with Christophe Dubuschere and Philippe Lejeune, then with Master pastellist Thierry Citron, I have built up a personal pictorial language over the years, free from the search for hyperrealism.
I'm not interested in hyper-figuration: the subject is a starting point, a pretext for inner expression. What guides me is the vibration of color, the presence of matter, the momentum of movement. Through pastel, oil with knife or brush, and acrylic, I seek a lively, sincere painting, where emotion takes precedence over descriptive precision.
My studio is an essential space, a place for exploration and breathing, where I paint regularly. Over the past year, my work has been enriched by the practice of travel journaling: it nourishes my gaze, captures the moment and brings a new spontaneity to my canvases.
After many years of teaching in the Paris region, I now pass on my passion in the Loiret region, with the same desire to encourage everyone to find their own artistic freedom.
I've exhibited in different parts of France, and I'm always open to encounters, projects and collaborations that help my vision evolve and nourish my creativity.
For me, painting is above all an ACT OF FREEDOM, a breath of fresh air that never ceases to renew itself.
