Boucholeurs? It comes from “bouchot”, the typical shellfish beds at the heart of oyster farming in Charente. This is what made this former fishing village famous, and what gives it its unique charm today.
It’s easy to get to by bike from the centre of Châtelaillon-Plage, via the sea.
Why is it so great?
First and foremost for the setting, but also for the special nature of the market: the short circuit! Here, the producers offer you the very best of their harvests and creations, grown in our region and crafted with respect for the seasons, the environment and traditional know-how.
