Happy 20th anniversary to the Beauséjour Performing Arts Centre!
For twenty seasons, thousands of stories have unfolded here, laughter has echoed through the auditorium, emotions have come to life and unforgettable memories have been created, making Beauséjour a landmark venue for culture and entertainment in Châtelaillon-Plage and across the La Rochelle Urban Community.
Let us take a moment to remember the joy, smiles and energy that this wonderful adventure alongside so many talented artists has brought us over the past twenty years.
These memories warm our hearts. But the curtain is already rising on a brand-new season filled with encounters, discoveries and emotions to share.
Under the guidance of Lynda Beaujean and Nathalie Ogier, the Cultural Committee has created a 2026–2027 season combining quality and diversity, with the ambition of making live performance accessible to everyone.
The theatre programme will take us from laughter with the comedies A Busy Weekend and Love and Cigarettes to heartfelt emotion with Les Rochambelles, whose heroines will lead us through an inspiring and uplifting story. Two leading comedians will challenge our assumptions with their trademark wit: the flamboyant Thaïs will invite us to an explosive family dinner, while La Bajon will have us roaring with laughter as she highlights the absurdities of modern society.
Music also takes centre stage this season, with a musical tale performed by a children's choir, an unforgettable jazz evening featuring the David Hermlin Trio and the outstanding singer Rachel Hermlin, and a classical concert celebrating the finest works of French and Austrian Romantic music.
We are also delighted to welcome the virtuoso violinist Sarah Nemtanu, performing alongside the musicians of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Chamber Orchestra. The Châtelaillon-Plage Wind Orchestra will then take us on a musical journey around the world.
Children have not been forgotten. They will enjoy a rock'n'roll Christmas with the famous band Zut, before becoming young detectives at Easter in the magical adventure Who Wants to Get Rid of the Magician?
To round off the season, prepare to be amazed by the spectacular and extraordinary show of The French Twins.
Finally, our travel documentary film conferences will take audiences to fascinating destinations, discovering landscapes, cultures and unforgettable encounters from around the world.
