Description
Take a step back in time and immerse yourself in the picturesque world of an oyster-farming village through the dramatized stories of a guide unlike any other.
Every Tuesday from July through August at 10 a.m., Marinette will be waiting for you in front of the Mirko al Mare restaurant in the Boucholeurs neighborhood!
This colorful guide tells the stories of the fishermen, oyster farmers, and mussel farmers who have shaped this seaside village, taking you on a 1.5-hour journey through time.
Amid oyster huts and ocean views, Marinette—dressed in traditional Boucholeurs attire—humorously shares local traditions. She describes the techniques of days gone by, the capricious tides, the secrets of the oyster beds, as well as little anecdotes from daily life—all imbued with a historical dimension and a charming authenticity.
Her tour, lasting about 1 hour and 30 minutes, offers a breath of sea air and authentic discoveries along the coast, in the heart of a landscape shaped by maritime life.
The tour requires a reservation and is available only in French. To sign up, visit the Châtelaillon-Plage Tourist Office or call 05 46 56 26 97!
