From August 24 to 30, 2026, at the Maison de l’Éclusier des Boucholeurs, the CAPA collective presents “Carré Noir,” a black-and-white photography exhibition in which six amateur photographers share their unique perspectives on the world around them.
From August 24 to 30, 2026, the Maison de l’Éclusier des Boucholeurs will host the “Carré Noir” exhibition presented by CAPA, the Aquitaine Collective of Amateur Photographers.
Composed of six amateur photographers from the region, the collective is united by a shared passion for photography and sharing their work with the public. Through this new exhibition, the artists invite visitors to discover a series of black-and-white photographs in a square format, offering an original and sensitive perspective on the world around us.
While the choice of black-and-white and the square format serves as the exhibition’s central theme, each photographer retains their own personal vision, sensibility, and unique way of interpreting reality. This diversity of perspectives is what makes the exhibition so rich and allows the public to journey through different photographic approaches—ranging from poetry and emotion to observations of everyday life.
An invitation to discover contemporary photography through works that are both complementary and deeply personal.
