Description
Step back in time along the elegant streets of Châtelaillon and let Albertine tell you about the elegance of a bygone era.
Every Thursday in July and August at 10 a.m., Albertine invites you to meet her in front of the Châtelaillon-Plage train station for a journey back in time to the heart of the seaside resort!
As you stroll through the streets, she’ll reveal the charm of the Belle Époque villas with their colorful facades and the history of an era when sea bathing was all the rage. Our passionate guide, dressed in Belle Époque attire, brings the characters of the past, the summer traditions of yesteryear, and the joyful atmosphere of early seaside tourism back to life.
The approximately 2-hour walking tour is easy to follow and punctuated with fascinating anecdotes about daily life, vacation customs, and the small architectural details that aren’t always noticeable at first glance.
The tour requires a reservation and is available only in French.
Information and reservations: at the Châtelaillon-Plage Tourist Office or by phone.
