Between electric blues, garage rock and rhythm'n'blues, Ghalia Volt opens the Sorties de Plage season with a concert designed for live performance. Laure & The Little Spoons open this blues and soul evening in partnership with the Cognac Blues Passions Festival.
A veteran of the Memphis and New Orleans blues scenes, Ghalia Volt's music lies somewhere between electric blues, garage rock and rhythm'n'blues. Guitarist, singer and drummer, she favors a direct approach to live performance, driven by riff, rhythm and a deliberately raw sound.
Opening the evening, Laure & The Little Spoons offer a repertoire nourished by blues, soul and American rhythm'n'blues.
