David Hermlin Trio – Jazz Concert

DAVID HERMLIN TRIO featuring Rachel Hermlin A concert presented by our partner, the Classic Jazz Club in La Rochelle Drums, vocals: David Hermlin Vocals: Rachel Hermlin Piano: Sacha Kommer Clarinet: Lorenzo Baldasso A fantastic drummer in the mould of Jo Jones, a singer and showman in the style of Cab Calloway, and a tap dancer worthy of the Nicholas Brothers, David Hermlin brings boundless energy combined with absolute elegance to the stage. With his remarkable trio, he transports us back to the heady atmosphere of the Roaring Twenties. They are young, magnificent, three true showmen: a singer and drummer, a clarinettist, a pianist; all three love the American swing of the 1930s, and all three are virtuosos on their instruments. Joining them as a special guest is Rachel Hermlin, David Hermlin’s sister. Through and through, she too embodies the spirit of the 1930s: through both her voice and her stage presence, she stands out amongst the leading swing singers. David Hermlin takes us on a journey back in time, to the heart of an era brimming with carefree spirit and a zest for life. He brings the jazz of the Roaring Twenties back to life in its most exhilarating form. Full price: €28 Concession: €25 Beauséjour’s annual ticket office opens on Thursday 27 August 2026.
