In June 1942, in a Parisian fabric warehouse, the Martineau family went about their daily business despite the German occupation. In the streets of the capital, the Germans had imposed a curfew, and the laws against Jews were getting tougher by the day.
Here, we're neither resistance fighters nor collaborators, but we're delighted to have recovered the "Jewish star market", which enables them to supply yellow stars throughout Europe. We had to go on living.
But one evening, the arrival of a collaborator puts the family's previously uneventful unity to the test.
Oscillating between lightness and drama, emotion and laughter, this is a breathtaking behind-closed-doors story carried by a formidable cast of actors.
